You can walk to Stretford Metrolink station, takes about 25 mins (for an athlete like me!) and get on the tram there. It's the stop before OT so you're on the tram before the crush.
catch the train, the station is directly behind one of the stands and altho there's a queue you're back in the centre very quickly...you wont find a timetable for it online till nearer the weekend but they run about every 10-15 minutes to and from the ground
save yourdelf the walk 2 Stretford, its the same time walking to Manchester city centre. Jump on a Metrolink at Cornbrook if u wanna save urself the walk
