Need some wall papering,painting(emulsion & gloss)and a small amount of remedial work in living room and kitchen,probably a weeks work for a tradesman or 6 months work for me.
Some might say"do it yourself you lazy @@@@" but believe me this way will be quicker,cheaper and less ear ache off she who must be obeyed.
